Zachary Smith practices in the area of federal and state tax litigation, white-collar defense, and litigation. Mr. Smith joined Freeman Law in early 2017, following a summer clerkship with the firm in 2016.
Smith graduated from Baylor Law School in 2017 where he gained valuable experience in the school’s highly regarded Practice Court program. Prior to joining the firm, he was employed by the Travis County Attorney’s Office, the Bossier Parish District Attorney’s Office, and the Civil Litigation Division of the Office of the Louisiana Attorney General.
Smith received his B.B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in finance and minor in accounting. While attending the university, he was able to expand his business experience through employment as an accountant, a financial analyst, and multiple positions within a community bank.
Smith was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2017. He is a member of the Collin County Bar Association, Collin County Young Lawyers’ Association, Dallas Bar Association, and Dallas Young Lawyers’ Association.
